I went to college with ambitions of working in a research lab at some University, or study infectious diseases at CDC (or something like that)...but, life had a way of changing my path. I did earn a B.S. in Biochemistry and worked in my field for a few years. But, then came children and the reality that my husband's career in the Air Force will keep us moving every 2-3 years for next 10-20 years. I needed something I could do - anywhere. I had always been crafty/artsy, and I just needed to think of something I could make and sell. That turned out to be quite difficult...what could I make that people would want to buy?? After much trial and error, I listed my first item on Etsy, it was a red & white polka dotted handmade apron. It sold within a day, and I was elated. The rest, as they say, is history. I have been running my Etsy shop for almost 7 years now, and I am still learning, changing and growing everyday. I am so thankful for Esty and what it has allowed me to do...it gave me career, it gave me a creative outlet, it lets me be me- and all the while I get to continue to be a full time "mom"and a military spouse. I hope you enjoy my shop!
